A Message from the President

Welcome to the Etobicoke District CA Association website.

As a person who lives or works in Etobicoke or someone simply interested in our events, we would like to invite you to become a member of the Association (EDCAA). The EDCAA is a volunteer organization sponsored by the ICAO to provide networking, professional development and assistance to the Institute at the local level. We offer various events each year with excellent and varied professional development.

The objectives of the EDCAA include:

  • Providing a forum for CA's in which to network and exchange ideas
  • Providing education that meets professional development requirements
  • Promoting the CA profession
  • Assisting CA's in improving their business capabilities and enhancing their knowledge base
  • Fellowship

We are implementing our objectives through monthly events which have been a stage for outstanding speakers from CA industry, government, banking and finance for more than 15 years.

Venue – Our meetings are held at the Lambton Golf & Country Club. Please note that we are guests of a private club and there is a dress code (no jeans) and cell phones are not allowed in public areas.

Dinner Times – Cash Bar 5:00 pm - Dinner 6:00 pm - Presentation 7:00 pm.

Communication – We inform members of the upcoming events by email providing a link to our website for easy access to the registration form. If your email address changes, advise the ICAO directly, since we use the current ICAO database for each announcement. There is no need to advise EDCAA.

Costs – Dinner meetings are $50 and include dinner and  the membership fee. The dinner qualifies for 1.5 professional development hours. Professional development days are $125, which includes lunch, dinner, membership fee and 8.5 professional development hours. Please pay by credit card through PayPal.

We look forward to your participation in the EDCAA. Should you have any ideas for programs and topics or any other comments or suggestions, please let us know so they can be considered for future meetings. If you have an interest in becoming a board member, please let us know.

Yours sincerely,

Deborah Schaufele, CA

President
